I've switched to the Razer Viper Mini since posting this. Unfortunately said problem is still happening with the Razer Synapse program (+ anything else) uninstalled. Of course, this still comes down to what sort of interaction is occurring in the first place. That's presuming there's no 'residual' code left in DRG, from originally intending to support Chroma, and your statement is 100% correct (*I've no idea myself). The onus is on Razer to fix their software, submit a bug report to Razer. If the game is not interacting with Synapse/Chroma then the fail state is on Razers side. You let me know if you know the exact answer to why this occurred.โพสต์ดั้งเดิมโดย Liquidus:Could not 'supporting' them have a negative affect? I guess somewhere in the game, there is an audio check variable or condition somewhere and in doing so, I seemed to be accessing a memory address location which caused a null pointer error since my audio devices were not matching and/or were corrupted? Again, just speculating here as I tried a FUCKTON of different troubleshooting steps. One Audio Device is the one I want which is set correctly inside the game, while Windows has another audio device set to default which doesn't match what I set inside the game. Since my Audio Output Source was set to my normally used device, when it got changed on accident inside of Windows when I installed the audio driver and now my Default Audio Device in Windows got changed, the two values were different now. See the Steam Community Thread ( ) which discusses this error and where one user mentions he had encountered this error too but it was caused by Windows Default Audio being changed.įor speculation of why I received this error, it is probably due to the the In Game Options allowing you to choose an "Audio Output Source" inside the game itself. What I ended up doing was properly setting the devices I normally use back to default and also I uninstalled Razer Synapse and Chroma as well since the new headset is a Razer device with Chroma support which I read can be a cause for this error as well. I recently got a new headset and had to install a driver for the headset, something must of got changed in my windows audio settings when it installed the driver that is set new devices as my default in the Audio Control Panel in Windows that I normally don't have set to default. It seems that my problem was related to audio device settings in Windows. To those are experiencing this issue, hopefully my solution helps. Is anyone else experiencing unplayable crashes recently on Deep Rock Galactic, and if so any troubleshooting steps I missed that could be the cause? Appreciate any help or suggestions, thanks. Monitor: I am running a dual monitor set up, one monitor at 1920 x 1080 at 120hz, and the main one at 3840 x 1600 at 120hz. I closed some background apps that could be causing issues potentially like Corsair iCue, EVGA Precision X1, NZXT Cam, and Razer Synapse but still the game crashes. ![]() Reverted all CPU, RAM, and GPU overclocks to the base clocks (including XMP II) Updated to latest graphics card driver version (497.29) Reverted Graphics Card Driver to a version I know for sure was working: 497.09 -WHQL Uninstalled and reinstalled Deep Rock Galactic Updated all my drivers (NVIDIA, Intel, Audio, Display, etc.) The game will just crash and close itself. What is also weird, is sometimes the error prompt WON'T display at ALL. This error prompt will display when you are in the lobby, joining a game, in the middle of a game, or when the game itself is loading. I have attached an imgur link of the error prompt as well ( ) ![]() The only thing I can suspect is some update or something was pushed and has introduced this crash with the error: "The UE4-FSD Game has crashed and will close. The game crashes all the time and is unplayable now. I have over 100 hours played without any consistent crashes until all of a sudden today. I've been experiencing consistent crashes playing Deep Rock Galactic all of a sudden on the Xbox Game Pass PC.
